This is one of the great Sunday-at-twilight records, and it’s appropriate that it takes just one click to play the full album on YouTube; it works so well together as a mood piece. I discovered it years ago when I was looking for Motown competitors from the early 70s, hoping to find some new gems. This record sounds like Carole King or Carly Simon’s producer worked with a pop-soul singer. And oh yeah, that cover.
